Lyndon School - Catwalk Enterprise Event
As part of my Student Ambassador duties, I volunteered to help out at a catwalk enterprise event at Lyndon Seconday School. Catwalk anything is really interesting to me, as I love, study and breathe Fashion!!! The students had to interact with each other to come up with a variety of things that would enable them to have a good fashion business such as, business cards, posters, radio adverts and a handmade garment. The students were limited to time, money and equipment to carry out these activities to prepare them for the real world, as this is more or less the same scenario. It was a great experience to see the students running about, interacting with each other and showing their talents. They were really imaginative with their garments, and it was great to help them develop their ideas. At the beginning many of the students assumed it was going to be another “boring day” in school, but actually, by the end of the day they looked as if they were full of excitement and joy! The catwalk was excellent and some of the walks were really imaginative. I really enjoyed my day at the school. I appreciated being around younger students who were excited about fashion and I can't wait for my next event!
